Sliding through the Okavango Delta in a mokoro is the quietest, most intimate safari you can ask for.
The Okavango Delta does something rare: it slows you down. There are no engines, no fences, and very little phone signal. A poler stands at the back of the mokoro and pushes you forward through reeds while a fish eagle calls overhead.
Water safaris pair beautifully with a more traditional game-drive camp. We'll often suggest two or three nights in a wet camp followed by a few in a dry concession — the contrast is part of what makes a Botswana trip feel complete.
If you've already done a classic East African safari, the Delta will surprise you. The wildlife encounters are quieter, more patient, and the landscape rewards travellers who are happy to listen as much as look.
